The Exhibition Lab Exhibition
Opening Reception - In Between Borders
Wednesday, July 12, 2017, from 6-8pm
Foley Gallery, 59 Orchard Street, New York City
Please join me on Wednesday evening, July 12, from 6-8pm, at Foley Gallery, when I will participate in "The Exhibition Lab Exhibition", a group show featuring my work along with the work of photographers Aleya Lehmann Bench, Miles Kerr, Alex Nelson, Eva Fazzari, Susan Evans Grove, Amy Montali and David Bernstein.
In Between Borders - "Every day we see things. That we pay no attention to. A curtain. A wall. A vase. They pass through our acknowledging eyes to our subconscious and are recorded as uneventful, and our attention moves on. But if you stop your eyes for a moment, adjust your focus, you may see the color, the light, the symmetry that makes the everyday beautiful."
The Exhibition Lab is a study of photography outside of a traditional academic setting. The initiative was co-founded by Michael Foley in 2010 as a study center for fine art photography dedicated to learning by critique. Students of the ExLab meet over the course of five months, holding critique sessions with one another and one-on-one sessions with Michael Foley.
